Liberty Village gyms, yoga studios, spinning studios and personal trainers will be busy over the next few months as new year’s resolutions generally include some form of fitness goals.
With it being a new year, we wanted to introduce you to some new fitness additions and remind you of some fitness staples in Liberty Village.

This state-of-the-art indoor cycling studio has taken spinning to a whole new level. All bikes are computerized through wireless displays. Spinout’s philosophy is such that computerized tracking of rpm’s, calories burned and capturing speed and distance will help push your fitness goals beyond what traditional spinning will do.

Well recognized as a studio for all ability levels, Liberty Movement offers Yoga classes for beginners, Vinyasa, Restorative and Ashtanga. They also focus on Classical forms of Pilates and pre-natal classes for soon-to-be and new Moms.

Famous for its “Power Plate” exercise machine, a machine made popular by Madonna and crafter by Russian scientists who were studying ways for astronauts to exercise in space. The pulsating platform transfers vibrations to different parts of the body and allegedly has the same benefits as a 3-hour intensive workout with weights.
Joe Rockhead’s Indoor Climbing, 29 Fraser Ave, (416) 538-7670
As Canada’s first indoor climbing gym, Joe Rockhead’s opened in 1990 and has been popular ever since. Their 3-hour beginner’s course is a great introduction to this fun and extremely challenging sport. It is fantastic exercise too.

The LOFT Fitness studio is an intimate space offering a variety of fitness classes, meditation practices, nutrition workshops and personal training by Merlin X. Merlin believes that a 30 minute workout is all that is needed to change your physical and mental health. He employs a holistic approach and teaches one-on-one or in a small class environment.

Reebok Crossfit is a total body workout built around intense cardio, weightlifting and gymnastics methodologies. They offer group classes, one-on-one and open gym sessions for you to practise what you have learnt.

It’s safe to say that the Liberty Village GoodLife is one of Liberty Village’s most popular fitness destinations. Open 24/7 and co-ed, the facility is well-suited for people who take their fitness seriously (or want to). They offer a number of popular classes. a large assortment of cardio machines, as well as free weights and machines. It’s also somewhat of a Liberty Village social hub.
