Liberty Village Toronto | Your Online Neighbourhood Guide

The Blog

tim hortonsPerhaps you have heard the rumour about Time Hortons opening in Liberty Village?

Well, it’s TRUE!! The signage is up at 171 East Liberty St Unit 109, at the west-end of the Liberty Market Galleria.

How do you feel about Timmies coming to Liberty Village? Happy? Sad? Wondering why we need another coffee shop in a neighbourhood that already has Starbucks, Aroma, Balzac’s, The Roastery and Uma?

People like their Timmies so I’m sure there will be some happy coffee drinkers and Timbit eaters.

If for some reason you are dying to work at the new Liberty Village Tim Hortons, they are hiring. Check out the job posting.

How could such a cultural enclave allow such a poor product and watery coffee to breach the barriers of liberty village?

      Andrew, I hope that’s sarcasm.

If you think Liberty Village is a “cultural enclave” then you really are out of touch with today’s residents and what they want.

I live opposite this branch and I can’t wait for cheap donuts on my doorstep.

PREACH NEWSHOUND. There isn’t enough affordable anything in Liberty, If I just want a coffee, I want a place I can spend $2 and get my monies worth! As much as I love Starbucks, my wallet does not.

Liberty Village is a cultural enclave? I work in this dump and it’s nothing but loser on bikes, broke grunt workers and such. Pass, as in fail.

Liberty village is no cultural enclave. it is literally suburbs in the city, i hate living here and can’t wait to move back to an actual area with culture and history. A Tim hortons will fit perfectly in this area, and agreed, i do not want to continue to stand in the line at starbucks and pay 6 bucks for a coffee and snack in the morning when really, it’s all fattening garbage no matter where it comes from.
