Liberty Village Toronto | Your Online Neighbourhood Guide

The Blog

We are very pleased that the Liberty Village Farmers’ Market will be opening this Sunday, June 3rd and will be open every Sunday from 9am – 2pm until October 21st.

We are huge fans of the local Farmers’ Market which takes place on the west-side of the Green P parking lot on Hanna Ave.

The Farmer’s Market is organized by “My Market: Certified Local Farmers’ Market” who offer local Ontario producers easy access to an urban, diverse marketplace and a level playing field, where resellers are neither welcome nor permitted.

Their markets are producer based and champion the cause of real farmers and producers across Ontario.

Not to take anything away from Metro’s produce section, but shopping for farm-fresh fruit and veg at a farmer’s market simply can’t be matched. Depending on which vendors are present, you will likely find artisanal cheeses, breads, baked-goods and meats at our local market.

If you have not been before, you really MUST make the Liberty Village Farmers’ Market a part of your regular summer Sunday routine. We’ll see you there!
