It’s no secret that Liberty Village is growing. Some of those condo construction sites are turning into finished condos. The newest ones often have line ups of moving trucks waiting to deliver our newest residents’ furniture.
Some of our newest residents are at the Liberty Market Lofts (5 Hanna) and 65 East Liberty St. Shortly thereafter it will be 75 East Liberty and then 85 East Liberty St. The new Lynn Williams and Western Battery towers are close behind.
We, at LibertyVillageToronto.com, would like to welcome the newest residents to Liberty Village. We are glad you are here and looking forward to seeing you buzz around the streets, shops and parks. For a great place to start, check out our Liberty Village video tour on YouTube.
We have decided to jot down a couple of tips that we think might be useful now that your new home is Liberty Village:
-the traffic around here kind of sucks (shocking). If you are driving, drive safely and watch for pedestrians:)
-support your local businesses. Local businesses aren’t always feeling the love from our residents once the workers have left for the day. Sure Metro is busy but take a walk down through the Liberty Market Building. Take a look at the boutiques, cafes and restaurants. We have a great cheese shop. A fantastic chocolate boutique. Wonderful western and alternative health clinics.
For an extensive list of our local businesses please have a look at our directory.
-there isn’t a tonne of green space in Liberty Village so please keep what we have clean. I’m looking at a few pet-owners who still aren’t picking up after their pets at Liberty Village Park. It’s hard to believe that there are still owners like that out there but there are. Liberty Village residents love their dogs and so do we. Just be a responsible pet-owner.
-Liberty Village has a fantastically dedicated residents’ association. The Liberty Village Resident’s Association has an active Facebook Page and regular meetings. These meetings are a great opportunity to stay involved and informed with the ongoings of our neighbourhood.
-Visit LibertyVillageToronto.com regularly. We are dedicated to keeping things fresh and interesting for residents. We will highlight new businesses and those that have closed their doors (sadly). we will review restaurants and tell you where to get the best burger (one of our most popular entries). We also have one of the most up-to-date condo resources for renters and buyers around. The most current MLS listings in Liberty Village.
Also, should you decide to buy or sell in Liberty Village, the founders of LibertyVillageToronto.com are Realtors dedicated to this neighbourhood. You simply can’t find better real estate representation. Find out more at CamberWalden.com.
We invite you to contribute if you have something interesting and relevant to share. You can email us at [email protected] with ideas or content.
Finally, we ask you to respect your neighbours and the neighbourhood. There will be a lot of us living in a relatively small area and we should all do our part to make this one of the best neighbourhoods in Toronto. Be courteous and all should be well.
Welcome to the neighbourhood neighbour!
What about liberty market lofts?
Sorry for the oversight Shawn. Liberty Market has been added. Thanks for the reminder.
Fantastic website you have here but I was curious about if you knew of any
community forums that cover the same topics discussed in this article?
I’d really love to be a part of group where I can get responses from other knowledgeable individuals that share
the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.
Thanks!
