Liberty Village Toronto | Your Online Neighbourhood Guide

The Blog

Don’t know what to cook for the dinner party? Or maybe need to impress a certain someone? Use a recipe from the Toronto Eats cookbook for some outstanding tried, true and tested meals.

What is Toronto Eats All About?

Toronto Eats Cookbook was released September 5th and features recipes from chefs throughout Toronto.

Love Toronto and love food? This is the ultimate cookbook for local foodies. Toronto Eats is published by Figure 1 Publishing and curated by Amy Rosen. One hundred recipes from 50 restaurants (two recipes per establishment) have been compiled into one book. Toronto Eats proceeds Rosen’s first compilation of city restaurant recipes titled Toronto Cooks. Get your copy of Toronto Eats online or at Indigo book stores.

Featuring Live Organic

The Toronto Eats cookbook features two recipes from Jenn, owner of Liberty Village’s own Live Organic.

Having community pride for Liberty Village, we know that this cookbook would not be complete without at least one of our restaurants featured. Live Organic (located at 134 Atlantic Ave) provided two delectable recipes which include:

  • Cheesecake with Strawberry Sauce
  • Zucchini Manicotti with CAshew-Dill Ricotta

Live Organic is known as “Toronto’s plant based, organic, gluten and refined sugar free restaurant” as noted on their website. Making one of their meals to fuel yourself post workout or to lead a healthier lifestyle will most certainly be achieved.

What People Are Saying

The first edition of the city’s compiled restaurants sold out at Indigo. Some notable chefs and celebrities had raving things to say.

Toronto’s diverse culturally inspired dining scene has made it an international culinary destination. From Chinatown’s crispy pan-fried chive dumplings to the Distillery District’s succulent oysters, our city can satisfy just about every craving.”

– Michael Bonacini, Chef and Partner of Oliver and Bonacini

“Whether it’s a small mom-and-pop place or a giant 200 seater, Toronto offers something for every palate, every mood and even pocket book. I look forward to many years of munching my way through this glorious, tasty, and eclectic tour.”

– Jan Arden, Singer and Songwriter
