It’s well past midnight and despite all logic, your tummy is starving for food – most of us have been here before. Instead of going to bed and waiting it out until the morning, you know that this isn’t an option. There needs to be food immediately and luckily, if you’re in Liberty Village, there are a few places where you can grab a late night eat no problem!

Smoke’s Poutinerie – 116 Atlantic Avenue

The easiest place to grab a bite late at night is probably Smoke’s Poutinerie, open Thursdays until 3 AM, and on Fridays and Saturdays until 4 AM. There is nothing quite as delicious to put to bed a hangover as a basket of fries smothered in cheese curds, gravy, and any selection of additional veggies. When you’re just looking for food, be it junk or otherwise, Smoke’s Poutinerie is among the most consistent choices and a favourite among the late night Liberty Village crowd.

Local Public Eatery – 100-171 E Liberty Street

The next easiest place to grab a bite to eat at such a late hour is Local. Though this is a laid-back pub and may require having to socialize with those around you, they are open until midnight every night of the week, except Thursday, Friday, and Saturday when they have extended hours to 2 AM. If you’ve ever been to Local in the past and are craving one of their craft-beer taps or a menu item, if you can make it in before close, this can provide a fun late night out in a sports-themed bar atmosphere.

Williams Landing – 120 Lynn Williams Street

Though the hours are pretty inconsistent, if you’re looking for something a little more upscale for your late night consumption, Williams Landing has more than sixteen beers on tap, an extensive list of wines, and a number of unique menu items. They are open until 11 PM on Monday, 12 AM on Tuesday, 1 AM on Wednesday, 2 AM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 1:30 AM on Sunday. Evidently, it might be better to give them a call at (647) 349 – 8008 before heading out to make sure that they are in fact open.

The Craft Brasserie & Grill – 107 Atlantic Avenue

Open until 2 AM every night of the week, heading down to Craft Brasserie & Grill can provide a nice atmosphere with big TVs, the usual pub fare, and a more massive beer selection than anywhere else in the vicinity.

Hero Certified Burgers – 171 East Liberty Street

Hero Certified Burgers are only open until roughly 11 PM on weekdays however the restaurant boasts extended hours on Friday and Saturday both, leaving them open until 3 AM. For when you’re craving a massive burger or just a burger and fry combo, stopping in to Hero Certified Burgers will get you everything you want.

Liberty Shawarma – 114 Atlantic Avenue

When you’re craving Middle Eastern foods, such as a quality falafel or shawarma, Liberty Shawarma is open until 12 AM every day of the week, except on Friday and Saturday when it boasts extended hours until 4 AM.

Liberty Commons at Big Rock Brewery – 42 Liberty Street

Open until 1 AM most days of the week and with extended hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until 2 AM, the Liberty Commons is another fine pub choice for those seeking classic pub items or some the establishment’s acclaimed southern BBQ.

Tim Hortons – 171 East Liberty Street

If it’s late at night or early in the morning, you’re completely out of options and your stomach is refusing to quit, bare minimum, you always have the Tim Hortons in the Liberty Market Building which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Though the foods are hit and miss, it should get the job done or at least tie you over until morning when you can seek out any of the neighborhood’s premiere breakfast and brunch options.

Where Will you Go for your Late Night Eat?

With a number of options to choose from, Liberty Village has a range of meal items that are sure to satisfy no matter the hour. So when you’re caught off-guard by some tummy rumbles and just need to get something down the hatch, revisit this list and see what suits you best!
