Our sources tell us that a JOEY restaurant will be filling the location left empty by Origin Liberty’s closing.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Vancouver-based chain, JOEY popped up in BC in 1992 and has, since then, opened restaurants in Washington State, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.
There are already JOEY locations open in Toronto at the Eaton Centre, The Shops at Don Mills and Yorkdale. The latest opening was in Markville Mall (Markham).
It calls itself “premium”, “upscale” and “casual” dinning and offers a fairly eclectic menu consisting of steaks, sushi and a variety of sandwiches, pastas and more.
No word yet on an opening date but we will keep you posted.
