Sure, there are countless ways to be healthy and active in Liberty Village.
But sometimes, you need to break that diet and shamelessly indulge – especially in the middle or end of an intense workweek.
Here are 6 ways to “treat yo’ self” in Liberty Village.
1. The Soft Gingerbread Cookies at Mad Batter Bakers.
Who says gingerbread is just for the holidays? Actually, we’re pretty sure it tastes better in the off-season, when it’s more of a rare treat. That’s why a visit to Mad Batter Bakers for one (or three) of their soft gingerbread cookies is always a good idea.
2. The Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese at Williams Landing.
Mac ‘n’ cheese – in all its gooey glory – is pretty amazing in itself. But add lobster, and its taken to a whole new level. The comforting Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese at Williams Landing is definitely worth the calories and pretty much impossible (and a slight travesty) not to finish. Basically, if it doesn’t make you feel better after a long day (or a booze-filled night), we don’t know what will.
3. The Chicken ‘n’ Waffles at Brazen Head.
Saturdays and Sundays are for made for brunch at Brazen Head. The Chicken ‘n’ Waffles are a guaranteed hangover cure every time – as long as you can roll in there before brunch ends at 3pm. Just, trust us. As an added bonus, they’re served with banger sausage as well (but you probably already knew that).
4. The French Toast at School Restaurant.
The secret’s been out for a while now that School has some of the best French toast in the city – and if you’ve tried it, you know it’s far from basic. Why? One option is super cheesy and made with bacon. Another is rolled in Rice Krispies, with an orange marmalade. Enough said.
5. The Local Burger at Local Public Eatery.
If you’re craving a burger, the Local Burger at Local Public Eatery will not disappoint. The hand-pressed patty is topped with both cheddar and jack cheeses (because the cheesier, the better), pickled jalapeños, onions, and hot sauce,
For an added spicy indulgence, pair it with their fully loaded Bloody Caesar (which is pretty much a meal in itself).
6. The Black and White Cupcakes at For the Love of Cake.
Cupcake lovers know the struggle when it comes to choosing between a chocolate or vanilla-based cupcake. That’s why the Black and White cupcakes at For the Love of Cake is our go-to. If you’ve yet to try it (seriously, what are you waiting for?), it’s a sweet fusion of their chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, filled with chocolate ganache and topped with a swirl of chocolate and vanilla butter cream. And yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds.
How many shameless indulgences have you checked off your Liberty Village bucket list?
