Liberty Village Toronto | Your Online Neighbourhood Guide

The Blog

February 14th marks the annual international day of love, otherwise known as Valentine’s Day. According to nytimes.com, theories on the origins of Valentine’s Day date back to Roman Empire times. Considered a celebration for the festival of Lupercalia, men and women would pair up to procreate. Over many centuries, it has evolved into a day where people proclaim and showcase their love for one another. Whether it be a romantic night with your partner, a Valentines evening out, or perhaps a self-love type of day, there are lots of ways to celebrate here in Liberty Village.
