Liberty Village Toronto | Your Online Neighbourhood Guide

The Blog

We form many relationships in our community; from meeting our neighbours, to seeing the same familiar faces as we walk our dogs, and the local staff at our favourite stores. One relationship many people find sacred is the one with our hair stylist. While it may seem a little silly, our trust is put into these talented folks. Hair, for some, is an extension of ourselves and identity. Lucky for us, we have some amazing hair salons in Liberty Village filled with fantastic hair stylists. Check out our roundup!

B Suite Salon

Find B Suite Salon on Atlantic Ave near King St W!

Located on Atlantic Avenue for many years, B Suite Salon has been a Liberty Village staple! The owner, Marco, also lives in the community so he truly understands the trials, tribulations and triumphs of our neighbourhood. Offering a full array of hair services for both men and women, they have a strong client base that keeps coming back again and again. Open Tuesday through Saturday.

Axe and Hatchet

Located along E Liberty St, Axe and Hatchet is a full service grooming club.

In the fall of 2016, Axe and Hatchet opened their second location here in Liberty Village at 120 Lynn Williams St, next to William’s Landing. Coining themselves as a “full service grooming club”, they help men achieve their desired look through a haircut, beard groom, or straight razor service. Many professional athletes trust their hair with Axe and Hatchet including the Toronto FC’s Sebastian Giovinco. The grooming club is open Monday through Saturday.

L Studio Salon and Spa

It’s worth the walk to the west side of Liberty Village to visit L Studio Salon.

The team at L Studio takes service very seriously. Clients will enjoy the authentic industrial Liberty Village atmosphere, as the building they are located in has beautiful exposed brick. L Studio has done a great job on the interior decor as well! From cuts to colour to styling, owner Lisa Carnevale and her talented team always receive extremely positive reviews. They are open Monday to Saturday at their salon located at 39 Mowat Ave.

Nestled in the Liberty Market Building at unit 116, Salon Tocci is owned and operated by a sister/brother duo, Alexandra and Antonio. Both of the owners are extremely creative and artistic, channelling their talents through hair styling. Clients enjoy the urban and luxurious setting while they are getting their hair treatments done. Men’s and Women’s services are offered here which include cuts, colour, extensions and other hair treatments. They are open Tuesday through Sunday.

The Village Barber Shop

Located on Jefferson Ave, The Village Barber Shop is the only hair salon or barber along this street.

No matter the age, men enjoy the vibe and great service at The Village Barber Shop. It is located at 107 Jefferson Ave. The owner, Julio, started this business venture in the summer of 2016 after he had been providing at-home services for his clients. The shop offers haircuts, beard trims, forehead lineups and a special rate for high school students on Tuesdays. Open Monday through Saturday.

Sparks Salons

Sparks Salon offers beauty treatments in addition to their hair services.

With two locations servicing the Liberty Village community, Sparks Salon offers hair styling and cuts as well as other beauty services. The Liberty Village location is located at 100 Western Battery Rd and the other location is at 1004 King St W. Sparks Salon was created by Michael and Mylinh On and aims to be a one-stop beauty service. Book appointments Monday through Saturday.

With our great selection of hair experts and stylists in the area, there is one for everyone!
