We love hearing from local residents as to why they love Liberty Village or their particular condo. We welcome you to share your love for your condo too! Get in touch here! Today we hear from Sara who lives at DNA3 – 1030 King St W.
Why I Love DNA3
There’s nothing worse than not liking where you live, not getting along with your neighbours or feeling like there’s no grocery stores or cafes close by.
As we all know, there’s no shortage of condos in the Liberty Village/ King West area, so there were many to choose from when I was looking for a new place to call home.
I knew DNA1 (1 Shaw) and DNA2 (1005 King) well and had heard great things from friends who had lived in both buildings. I saw construction begin on DNA3 (1030 King St W) and was excited to check it out as soon as it was done!
Despite containing 602 units total, this is by far the friendliest building I’ve ever called home. I know my neighbours and people always greet me with a smile and say hello in the elevators. – (great place to meet singles by the way). You see the same faces repeatedly and it feels like a real community.
I’ve repeatedly asked multiple neighbours for a cup of flour when I’m halfway through a cake, or butter or olive oil on several occasions, theyre always happy to oblige. However between 8am-10pm daily the city market is open and has everything you could need. Can’t ask for a more convenient place to grocery shop, especially in the dead of winter when you don’t want to walk anywhere. They also have great prepared foods when you’re looking to grab something fast and easy – try their roast chicken, so good! The Metro in Liberty Village is a quick walk away as well.
For all you dog-owners, concierge keeps a little stash of treats for the pups! There’s no shortage of parks in the area, with Trinity Bellwoods being my favourite for a walk or jog, they even have free yoga in the Summer! Tim Hortons recently opened in the building, trying to stay away from the tidbits, but so nice to have the convenience of it in the building, with Starbucks across the street as well.
The amentities in the building are incredible. The gym is big and clean and I’ve never had to wait for a machine, so theres no excuse for not shedding those holidays pounds I packed on. Theres a spacious yoga studio that I love to stretch in after I’m done on the treadmill. Steps away from Queen Street, Ossington, Liberty Village and Parkdale, everything you need is just a stones throw away. So nice to find a community and love your home in this big crazy city we all live in.
