Liberty Village Toronto | Your Online Neighbourhood Guide

The Blog

Hey Lovers,

Valentine’s Day is almost a week away and many of us are still making arrangements for gifts or plans for dinner. For those of you not wanting to make your plans in Liberty Village, we have some fantastic ideas for you!

Origin Liberty is offering an ecclectic special 3-course prix fixe menu at per guest. Plus, parties that confirm with a credit card by Feb 10th will have fresh flowers at their table awaiting them for just $10 more per guest. Menu items like  spicy tuna or beef or mushroom hand rolls, chicken and mole and hot chocolate cake are guaranteed to get the senses going.

Midred’s Temple Kitchen is celebrating Lover’s Day over the course of a few days from Feb 13-16th and a brunch on Feb18th. The $48 prix-fixe is savoury and “fit for honeymooners”.  Mildred’s “week of big love’ promises to be a foodie’s delight.

For those who have little interest in Valentine’s Day (or actually loathe it) but still want to go out that night, Williams Landing is hosting an “Anti-Valentines” night from 5PM-close. They’re offering $4 local pints and $5 bar rail drinks all night long, DJ, & dance floor. They are steering away from Valentines Day rituals but willl be offering a fun night and an open menu to all of our guests. No set menus there! All are welcome, including couples!

Featured in one of our recent blog posts, Maizal Quesadilla Cafe, will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with a dance floor. For more info on their sexy (and forbidden) Danzon dancing event click here.

For those of you who are looking for great gift ideas for that special somebody, Liberty Village’s local clothing consultant, Kathleen’s Closet, is offering a Valentine’s Special for your special sweetheart. For further details, check out the “PUT SOME LOVE IN YOUR CLOSET” Valentine’s package here

The Golden Apple Confectionary is a great options for that artisinal box of truffles or get creative and buy your sweetheart one of their chocolate pumps (as in high heels). Stylish and delicious! They are also offering chocolate covered strawberries. What says love more than a bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries?

Did you know that Liberty Village has its own personal shopping service? What would be a better gift for that busy someone than a personal shopper from Shopping a la Cart? Linda offers to do all of the shopping work for you so you don’t have to: groceries, gifts, you name it!

No shortage of ideas here folks! Get out there, have some fun and romance and support your local Liberty Village businesses!
