Summer and step 3 of the roadmap to reopening – what an excellent combination! Locals might have heard of the heartbreaking closures of select local businesses, but Liberty Village has some new offerings this year.

Check out 5 of the newest and upcoming local businesses below!

1. Altea Active

Altea Active has garnered lots of positive reviews on social media and for justified reasons.

Altea Active boasts the largest cycle studio in Canada, spacious workout areas, a 25-meter 3-lane lap pool, and 185+ indoor and outdoor classes sure to provide a fresh fitness experience with every visit.

Rather than being a fitness club, it’s more accurate to call it a social wellness club. Aside from providing top-notch fitness facilities, Altea Active offers many other services sure to cater to everyone’s needs.

They offer supervised playroom services for children. They also have avenues for socializing, such as Duckpin bowling and Top Golf Swing Suites. You also won’t need to wait long to get an after-workout treat as they also have an in-house Starbucks, smoothie bar, and a restaurant within the facilities. Best of all, they have two-hour free parking for members. There’s just so much to love about Altea Active.

Scheduled to open soon, Altea Active is offering discounted rates for founding members. Book a tour now to view all their amenities personally.

2. Chatime

One of the most loved milk tea franchises in the world makes its way to Liberty Village. Chatime is a Taiwan-based global franchise serving trendy milk teas – a widely popular beverage in Taiwan. Much so that most of the famous milk tea franchises you may have heard originated from this country.

Chatime boasts a large selection of tea beverages, which you can customize with their add-ons such as pudding or tapioca balls. They also offer other drinks like slush and smoothies and items such as pastries for a more wholesome tastebud experience. Check out the website and find your cup of tea.

Impact Kitchen developed a well-crafted menu that addresses various nutritional aspects by working with chefs, nutritionists, wellness experts, and producers of high-quality organic ingredients.

Even while only using select organic ingredients, Impact Kitchen offers a diverse and exciting menu. Drinks include selections of energy-boosting coffees, immunity-boosting sipping broths, thirst-quenching cold presses, and fresh organic smoothies. You can also find curated grocery boxes that cater to various dietary preferences. If you’re into stocking up, they currently offer three healthy frozen meal options that you can grab and reheat any time of the day.

5. Prime Medical Centre

Healthcare has always been an essential commodity. Hence, having more options for health is something that anyone can appreciate.

If you’re new in the area and looking for doctors who are taking new patients, you can drop by the newly opened clinic at the Abell alley just across from The Drake Hotel. Dr. Tanya Mogla, a graduate of Windsor University and previously practicing in Brampton, is now in Abell Medical Centre and specializes in Family Medicine.

All you have to do is bring in your health card to book your first consultation. Transferring your medical records from your previous family doctor can be seamlessly completed by signing a release form – make sure to provide your previous doctor’s fax number!
